NECO Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, emphasized the efficiency of the “NECO e-Verify” platform in instantly authenticating academic and basic information of candidates. Previously, all verification requests were processed through NECO headquarters, leading to delays. However, with the introduction of the e-Verify platform, institutions both within Nigeria and abroad can now verify results in a more timely and convenient manner. This move comes as a response to the growing demand for result verification and confirmation from educational institutions worldwide.
“The ‘NECO e-Verify’ is an Online Result Verification solution that guarantees instant authentication of academic and basic information about prospective candidates for admission and employment into academic institutions and workplaces respectively”.
He explained that from available records, the council has observed that there were requests for verification and confirmation on results from 64 institutions across 37 countries between 2020 and 2022. Similarly there were requests from 72 institutions in Nigeria within the same period, this is besides the numerous requests from individuals.

It features landing and unloading pages with two verification steps: Bulk and Instant verification.
Individuals seeking result verification will have to register in the system using the following data:

- Phone number
- Password
Subsequently, individuals will receive verification messages through their registered email and phone number, followed by a token payment to complete the process.
